Nine-Year Students of Istochnik School Receive Diplomas of Graduation
Graduates of Istochnik Private School received official Diplomas of Primary Secondary Education on 19 June 2014.
The graduation ceremony was carried out for the second time. But this class of graduates became the first who would pursue the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) the next school year.
Traditionally, these diplomas were awarded by Alexander Sidorin, Executive President of Volga-Dnepr Airlines — the school founder. Addressing to graduates, Mr. Sidorin said: “It was a great pleasure to accept an invitation to award the diplomas to Istochnik students. This is an honorable and pleasant mission for me. You left behind nine years of education but will not leave the school. You face a difficult and honorable task — to be the first IBDP students. It is remarkable that Istochnik School moves to international level and will prepare graduates for study in Russian and international higher education institutions. We hope you will be a part of Volga-Dnepr team in future.”
Graduates and their parents expressed their sincere gratitude to teachers and school management. The diploma award ceremony was followed by a concert prepared by younger students and teachers, and finished with a holiday salute.
The celebration was over, diplomas were awarded, but faces of all attendants lighted with joy and pleasure because students parted with the school for summer holidays only, and Istochnik would open its doors again on 1st September.
