Istochnik School Projects Took the First Prize at International Salon of Inventions and New Technologies "New time"

DSCN1291.JPGStudents of Istochnik School won gold medals of Innovative Projects International Exposition in Youth Inventor category. This event was held under the auspices of Euroinvent World Forum of Inventors and Researchers in Sevastopol, Ukraine on 26 – 27 September 2013.

Scientists and innovators from over 30 countries delivered their presentations and participated in round table discussions relating to support and promotion of inventive activity among children and youths.

Istochnik School had its own stand at the exposition. Seventh-grade students of the school Nikita Ryabov, Zlata Lukyanova and Ekaterina Vedernikova defended their ecological project named “Fluctuating Asymmetry of Woody Species as a Test System for Environmental Evaluation” that caught the interest of Sevastopol Environmental Committee. The students were invited to visit Cape Fiolent, one of the most picturesque places in Crimea to implement a joint environment project together with students from Sevastopol next summer. Margarita Zakharova, eighth-grade student, presented a QR codes project featuring QR codes incorporated in business cards. All projects were highly appraised by the International Jury chaired by Professor Pierre Fumier, President of Belgium Chamber of Inventors. Students of Istochnik School had an opportunity to participate in live discussions with Dr. Andras Vedres, President of International Federation of Inventors Associations, Professor Eugene Kuznetsov, Institute of General Physics, Russian Academy of Sciences, and Anton Karlov, European TRIZ Association Representative.

Principal of Istochnik School Galina Pazekova, PhD Psychology, won a gold medal and special prize for her “Concept Model of Harmonious Education in Private School” research paper in Fundamental and Applied Science category. For her innovative contribution in natural sciences, Galina Pazekova was also awarded with Medal of Dostoevsky “For beauty, humanism and justice” by All-Russian Society of Inventors and Innovators.
